Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Rodger Walcker. Rodger joined our department after retiring in the area from the Capital Police and was a long time and lifetime member of the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department in Maryland. Rodger brought his experience and friendship to our department in its very early years. He was a great friend and asset to our station. Rodger not only volunteered his retirement to us at Reva but also was a dedicated volunteer at Culpeper Regional Hospital. While always in our hearts - he will be sorely missed.

Services for Rodger will be on July 8th at 12:00 and will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church.

More information about Rodger's service with Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department can be found below.

Please leave any comments or condolences below.

As a good friend of Rodger Walcker and a Lifetime Member of RVFR, I want to thank all those who helped give Rodger a wonderful memorial service. I know he would be humbled by the honors given to him by the Capital Police Department, VFW, Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department and Reva Volunteer and Rescue.

Thanks in particular to Former Chief Richard Alvey for his efforts in coordinating the services between Beltsville and RVFR. Thanks to those who served as Honor Guard and Pall Bearers. You gave Rodger a great send off. I know he is smiling down on all of us and would appreciate the honors you have bestowed upon him.

It is difficult to lose Rodger and I dearly miss my RVFR family. Please know that you are all always in my heart. Sending love and hugs. Kim M. Westenfeld

On behalf of the Beltsville VFD we would like to thank the members of the Reva Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department for making sure we were involved in the services for Life Member Rodger Walcker. Rodger or as we called him Tex was a dedicated life member of our department serving for 50 years at Beltsville. We will always remember Tex and he will never be forgotten.
