Below are some of the incidents
that we have responded to. We do not list responses to illnesses and
many of the calls we respond to are not listed here, as we have to
rely on the participants to turn over the information to the
webmaster. This small sampling is intended to give you an idea of
the type of calls we run.
Fire in a Structre November 29, 2011 Units on Scene: Company 1, Company 2, Company 8, Company 9,
Company 16, Company 11, Law Enforcement
A fire caused minor damage to a kitchen at a house on
Temple Lane Monday morning. According to Brandy Station Volunteer
Fire Dept. chief David Myers, firefighters contained the fire to the
kitchen. No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.

Company 8, Company 1, Law Enforcement, An early morning fire — the second
blaze in less than a week — in Culpeper has destroyed
yet another shed. This time, the fire took place Sunday
around 4 a.m. in the 14000 block of Hitt Mountain Road

A Stevensburg home was spared but
a nearby shed was destroyed in a fire late Wednesday

670 Southview Court, Culpeper, Virginia Units on Scene:
Southridge Apartments, Culpeper, Virginia
Dispatched to a "Fire in an Apartment Building" fully
involved. Members of Company 1, 2, 8, 9, 10 and 16, were
called to 670 Southview Court around 5:15 p.m. Saturday.
By the time they arrived, flames had engulfed one side
of the two-story building and were leaping out of the

Injuries - 2 Falls from a Horse June 22, 2011
Dark Horse Trail, Culpeper Virginia Units on Scene: Response16, 12-1, 12-3 Responded for reported injuries at Dark Horse Trail. Two
patients had fallen from their horses. One patient fell
to the ground, the other had a horse rear up and fall
through a fence to land on patient's leg. Both patients
transported to CRH.

Dispatched to a "Fire in a House" with flames showing. Upon arrival,
we found a fully involved structure.

Tharp Road, Culpeper Virginia Units on Scene: Brush16, Tanker16, Engine16
Brush 16 responded for a fire on the side of Route 29 North and
Tharp Road. Upon
arrival Brush 16 found approximately 1 acre on fire and
quickly spreading. Brush 16 established command requested assistance.
Tanker 16 responded, followed shortly by Engine 16. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Motor Vehicle Accident March 25th, 2011
James Madison Highway and Kettle Club Road, Culpeper Virginia Units on Scene: Ambulance 16-4, Ambulance 11-, Law
Ambulance 16-4 was dispatched for a three car Motor Vehicle Accident
(MVA). A tractor trailer struck a pickup truck that then collided
with a car. Reva's crew transported one patient to Culpeper Regional
Hospital. A second patient was airlifted from the scene.

February 27, 2011
Shanktown Rd, Culpeper, Virginia
Dispatched to a "Fire in a Structure" with flames showing.
Wagon 16 and Tanker 16 responded for a report of a house
fire in the area of Shanktown Road and Blackwall Drive.
Wagon 16 was first on scene and reported that the fire was
two to three sheds fully involved on the ground. Wagon 16
with the assistance of crews from Companies 1 and 8 quickly
put out the fire.

Store Road, Culpeper Virginia Units on Scene: Brush16, Engine16, Tanker16, Brush1
Brush 16 and Engine company 16 responded for a brush fire. Upon
arrival Brush 16 found approximately 1/2-1 acre of field on fire and
quickly spreading. Brush 16 established command requested assistance
from Company 1. Fire was quickly extinguished. Thanks to all who assisted.
Vehicle Fire Near a Structure February 15th, 2011
Manor Drive, Culpeper Virginia
Dispatched to a "Vehicle Fire near a Structure." Tanker 16 and
Ambulance 16-3 responded. The fire was quickly extinguished,
preventing spread to the structure.

Scrabble Road, Castleton, Virginia
Mutual Aid to Rappahannock county for a brush fire threatening a
structure. More information coming soon.

Thrift Road, Madison, Virginia
Mutual aid to Madison County for a brush fire threatening downtown
Madison and the American Legion Building. Two sheds were lost and a

Trapped February 9th, 2011
Standpipe Rd, Culpeper, Virginia
Units on Scene: Engine1, Wagon16, Medic12-3, Medic12, Law
Enforcement, PHI Helicopter Aircare 2
Dispatched for male subject, fallen approximately 80ft from
scaffolding; another subject possibly trapped on elevated safety
rigging on water tank. Assisted FS1 and Law Enforcement secure
scene. Aircare 2 landed and transported one patient to local trauma

Units on Scene:
Brush10, Brush23, Tanker10, Tanker23, Tanker16, Engine23 Dispatched to a
'Fire Outside', 40' by 15' debris pile on fire, additional tanker
needed. Due to winds, additional unit staged on Robinson River Rd.
to protect exposure. Provided water supply to Rapidan Fire Dept.
personnel in final stages of fire containment and overhaul.
Fire In a House Whippoorwill Ln, Reva, Virginia
February 7th, 2011
Units on Scene: Medic 12, Ambulance16-3, Wagon16, Wagon 8,
Dispatched for Basement Fire. Chief 16 in command of two store
single family dwelling. Smoke showing upon arrival. Fire in basement
with extension into first floor. Inch and three quarter hand line
used to extinguish. Ventilation and overhaul completed.

At 09:16 this morning units were dispatched to a fire in a house.
Units from Reva, Madison, Brandy Station, Castleton responded.
Because of icy conditions, water had to be shuttled using brush
trucks. There were no injuries. See Culpeper Star
Single Vehicle Rollover on North Merrimac Road
January 20, 2011 Reva VFR was dispatched to North
Merrimac Road for a reported auto accident. Units arrived to find
a single vehicle rollover. The Toyota Forerunner had rolled
over and hit two trees in an effort to avoid hitting a deer. Two patients were transported to
